Elevating Leadership Presence: Crafting Author and Speaker Branding Tailored for Houston's Professional Executives Seeking Insights on Emotional Intelligence through the Dynamic Logo and Brand Identity of 'Developing You.'
In undertaking this project, our mission was to craft a distinctive logo and comprehensive brand identity package for Greg Campbell, a seasoned speaker, coach, and author. Despite having an established team and years of experience in the field, Greg seized the opportunity to launch a professional brand presence named Developing You.
Greg's background as a faith-focused retired policeman with over two decades of service provided a unique perspective on the challenges leaders and police officers encounter in navigating emotional intelligence and leadership. Now dedicated to speaking and coaching on these critical topics, with an upcoming book on the horizon, Greg aimed to establish a brand that not only stood out but also resonated with leaders, executive teams, and policemen alike. The primary objective was to attract speaking engagements, specifically targeting leaders in the armed forces and individuals seeking insights into emotional intelligence.
During our exploration of the brand's purpose, it became evident that Developing You was centered around aiding leaders in translating information into actionable transformation. This insight guided our design process, where concepts like identity, head, heart, and speech emerged as symbols encapsulating the transformative journey Greg envisioned. The resulting icon, seamlessly blending these elements, proved to be an instant success.
The versatility of the brand was a key consideration, spanning digital and print platforms as well as stage presentations. Core descriptors such as 'growing,' 'leadership,' 'professional,' and 'metal tones' underscored the essence of the brand. Our aim was to not only captivate potential employers but also engage individuals interested in the nuanced realm of emotional intelligence in leadership.
This journey began with a compact team, poised to expand alongside the brand's growth. Leveraging platforms like Canva, the team can seamlessly utilize the working files to evolve with the brand. Visualizing mockups and imagery showcasing the brand's application across various contexts opened up a realm of possibilities, allowing the team to chart a course for long-term success with clarity and excitement.
